WOVEN
December 3, 2009 - January 4, 2009

Fiber artists: Jill Nordfors-Clark, Dona Anderson, Danielle Bodine, Aaron Kramer and Karyl Sisson all present pieces that are distinctive and unique to their individual visions but use fiber as the central core of their sculpture. Patricia Resseguie stitches fabric to create wall mount sculpture that dangles with a beauty that relates directly to nature. CA Michel uses fiber as her template-bold colors, pink, blue, red, and/or green rise through a nesting of bird feathers. Lanny Bergner and Margie McDonald take metal and mixed media components in very divergent pathways-both artists create fanciful sculpture that can blend into their community or stand alone as the singular statement of a given space.
Ceramic: Bennett Bean creates beautiful pit fired sculpture that consists of multiple elements. Each piece of art contains pieces that weave together creating the individual sculpture. Jim Kraft's vessels are glazed and sculptural by definition. The simplicity of presentation is in direct contrast to the complexity of technique. Laurel Lukazewski creates wall mounted coiled ceramic sculpture that builds on itself to develop organic constructions that defy gravity. Ruth Borgenicht's sculpture incorporates layers of ceramic link, glazed in different colors to create both functional and non-functional art.

Please join us on January 7th at 6:00pm for the opening of this exciting exhibition.
