WOVEN
January 7th through January 30th, 2010

Pacini Lubel Gallery is proud to exhibit a gallery wide multi-media exhibition titled "Woven" from January 7th through January 30th. This exhibition attempts to examine the many expressions of "woven" art - fiber, glass, ceramic and mixed media artists all present their work in the exhibition. Woven will highlight the work of local and nationally acclaimed artists.
Glass Artists: Harue Shimomoto will install two glass pieces-layers of overlapping glass that sweep with motion and reflect light in a myriad of patterns. Kathleen Holmes creates sculpture in the form of dresses-whether the piece is glass, ceramic or mixed media all of Kathleen's sculpture incorporates lace which represents the strength of the maternal being. Charissa Brock incorporates glass frit, bamboo and wood to create exquisite table top sculpture.
