other 2007 exhibits
Pacini Lubel will exhibit the works of Eric Bashor from June 7, through June 30, 2007 in the East Gallery.
Eric Bashor presents a series of figuratively styled paintings utilizing a process of thickly applied oil on linen. Eric's work catches a moment in time - the central characters are presented in different moods. The central character may look straight out to the viewer - apparently engaging the viewer fully. Another piece may present an introspective moment - the subject looking aside seemingly lost in his own thoughts. Another piece may catch a child resting - a child's deep sleep. Irrespective of the emotion depicted the viewer is left with a clear opportunity to inject their own thought's and feeling's- a clear dialogue between art and viewer is established.
Eric Bashor has paintings in the collection of the Tacoma Art Museum and the Seattle Arts Commission and is a graduate of the Cornish College of the Arts.
