Judith La Scola -
October 5th - October 28th. 2006

Glass Artist, Judith La Scola exhibits her current body of work in the East Gallery from October 5th through October 28, 2006. Judith utilizes an exhausting process of sandblasting sheets of glass, adding paint and often gold and silver leaf to create her sculptures. Her work integrates light into her sculpture through repeating patterns on the works surface and through the carved elements that may represent an organic element, like a fish, bird or insect and inorganic elements like a sphere or a vertical vessel. Color is integral with a varying palette of color that spans the spectrum. Judith is represented in numerous public and private collections including the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Racine Museum, Racine, Wisconsin and the Jewish Museum in San Francisco, California.. Please join us on October 5th and meet the gallery during Judith La Scola's opening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
