other 2005 exhibits
September 1, - October 1, 2005.
Pacini Lubel will present the work of Mike Moran, Pam Keeley, and Susan Madsen from September 1, 2005 through October 1, 2005.
Mike Moran will present both sculpture and painting in this exhibition. His work is contemplative in manner through his classically northwest approach to art. Pam Keeley uses graphite and simple gestures to create mood and feeling in her small scale work. Susan Madsen creates mood through color, scale and expression. All three figurative artists are unified through their relationship with emotion.

Laurie Hall - "Truth is stranger than fiction." There remains something mysterious about the conversion of experience into representation. My jewelry pieces encourage social commentary and ask the individual to wear a picture or prop of everyday life, which provokes inquiry, by being worn as jewelry.

Los Angeles artist Valerie Mitchell has focused on the form of structure in her work for the last 20 years. Where it comes from and its application; the truth in the repetition of natural structure reflects life, and how it echoes our past, present and future.

San Francisco based artist Julia Turner describes her method when making jewelry as pushing a particular material, process or idea to some kind of "breaking point" at which the piece releases the answer to an unasked question, one which I couldn't quite articulate in words and which by the same token has to be answered by a physical form. As I experiment more and more with a specific approach and become more discerning about what I see emerging, I begin to see the unnecessary elements fall away, leaving room for a more straightforward kind of interaction to take place.
